(Yahoo!) - UPDATES MONDAY A.M.: Reese Witherspoon released the following statement regarding her alcohol-fueled incident in Atlanta Friday morning: "Out of respect for the ongoing legal situation, I cannot comment on everything that is being reported right now. But I do want to say, I clearly had one drink too many and I am deeply embarrassed about the things I said. It was definitely a scary situation and I was frightened for my husband, but that is no excuse. I was disrespectful to the officer who was just doing his job. I have nothing but respect for the police and I'm very sorry for my behavior."
In Atlanta on Monday morning, the judge in Jim Toth's DUI charge hearing allowed cameras in the courtroom. The judge told Toth's attorney that his court date is set for May 27. The attorney left the courtroom, saying "no comment" to all media.
Academy Award winning actress Reese Witherspoon was arrested and jailed along with husband Jim Toth Friday morning in Atlanta, Georgia, when a police officer observed Toth weaving outside of his lane in traffic. Toth was arrested for DUI, while Witherspoon was handcuffed and arrested for alleged disorderly conduct when she refused to cooperate with law enforcement.
